About Us
A Sanctuary of Stillness and Renewal
The name Jing carries several layers of meaning in Chinese, each reflecting the philosophy of our clinic:
静 (Jìng) – Tranquility and Stillness
精 (Jīng) – Vital Essence
境 (Jìng) – Environment and Life Context
敬 (Jìng) – Respect and Care
At Jing Health, we believe that healing often begins with stillness. In today’s fast-paced world, it can be difficult to pause and listen to what our body and mind are telling us. We aim to approach each person’s healing journey with attentiveness, humility and compassion. Understanding each individual as a whole, we seek to help individuals slow down, reconnect with themselves, reenergize their vitality, restore balance, and support their journey toward lasting well-being.
About Tenghui
Hi, I’m Tenghui.
I am a counsellor and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner, and the founder of Jing Health.
Jing Health grew from something I was often told while growing up — that I was a very quiet person. At times, this was seen as a weakness or shaped by stereotypes. Over time, I came to understand that quietness can also be a strength. It allows us to listen deeply, notice what is often left unsaid, and create space for others to feel truly seen and heard.
As a gay man myself, I understand what it can feel like to navigate identity, vulnerability, and the tension between authenticity and belonging. Rather than seeing my sexuality as something to hide, I have come to embrace it as a source of empathy and perspective in my work. At the same time, I recognise that my experiences are also shaped by certain privileges I hold as a cisgender Chinese man in Singapore. This keeps me mindful that each person’s relationship with identity, safety, and belonging can look very different, and I strive to approach my clients with humility, openness, and respect for their lived experiences.
I started out studying TCM and went on to practise at a charity organisation where I encountered individuals from many different walks of life. Through these experiences, I came to appreciate the close relationship between physical wellbeing and mental health. This eventually led me to pursue a Master of Counselling, with the hope of supporting people more holistically. My aim is to integrate both disciplines to provide a thoughtful and compassionate space that cares for both body and mind.
Jing Health is deeply personal to me. I hope that those who come here become part of this journey as well. Healing is rarely something we walk through alone. While you allow me to accompany you through your experiences, I hope to offer support, care, and presence as you navigate your own path towards growth and wellbeing. In many ways, our work together becomes a shared journey — one where your stories continue to shape and deepen my own understanding, just as I hope this space can gently support yours.
